TIFLIS wine cellar

The enterprise «TIFLIS WINE CELLAR» was established in 1995 in the vicinity of Tbilisi, not far from the fruitful region Kakheti.

The winery was designed and built from scratch using the latest technologies, under the strict guidance of patriarch of Georgian winemaking, the Corresponding Member of Agrarian Academy of Sciences Nikolai Mekhuzla. 

This is a full-cycled winery that fulfils such operations as harvesting and treatment of grapes, production of wine and its storage, the bottling and loading of the finished product.

It uses only the modern European technologies such as macerators, individual fermentation programs for every type of wine, cold sterile bottling, etc., which allow to preserve at the highest level the peculiarities and uniqueness of the Georgian wines.

Wines made by «TIFLIS WINE CELLAR» are shipped in many countries of the world, the winery is one of the leaders in export of wines. The highest quality of wines is confirmed by awards of the international contests and exhibitions.

Khaziuri Nini

head of production

Khaziuri Nino has been working for the company for more than 20 years. Having worked in various positions and proved to be a purposeful and responsible person, she has been working as the head of production since 2005. Nino has a higher education, she graduated from the Tbilisi State University, at the Faculty of Physics, majoring in geophysics. In 1998, she defended her PhD in geophysics.

Usharauli Zurab

chief technologist

Zurab Usharauli started working in the company as a chemist in the laboratory in 2000. After that, he worked as a technologist. Since August 2015, he has taken the position of chief technologist of the wine materials. Zurab has a higher education, he graduated from the I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Chemistry. Zurab is a licensed wine taster, participates on a regular basis in tastings conducted by the Georgian Wine Agency, as well as in many international competitions.

Bitadze Mzia

head of the laboratory

Bitadze Mzia started working in the company as a chemist, and already in 2002 she took the position of head of the laboratory. Mzia graduated from Kemerovo State University, Faculty of Biology and Chemistry, she is a licensed taster of Georgian wines. In 1994-2004, she worked at the State Institute of Morphology, engaged in scientific activities.


The most objective reflection of the situation with the quality of wines produced at the winery are international awards.

Participation in competitions where experts from different countries evaluate wine in the “blind tasting” mode allows you to get an understanding of the level of wine, its place in the world ranking.
